One of the most common and problematic issues found in a property, is damp. Damp is also the cause of Dry-Rot, Wet-Rot and can even be damaging to your health.

There are three main causes of damp;
- Rising Damp; is the more serious source and is caused by water rising, through capillary action
- Penetrating Damp; affects internal walls and can be the cause of considerable internal damage if left untreated. Damp walls or ceilings below ground level are a sure sign of penetrating damp
- Condensation; is caused by high humidity. This usually causes a black mould to appear particularly in window reveals, corners and behind objects that are close to the wall. Whilst this is not the most damaging to your property, it can be damaging to your health!
